Youth With a Mission Riga is a YWAM center that has much to offer potential new staff. After a successful completion of YWAM's Discipleship Training School (DTS), individuals looking to serve God can apply to join our staff. If you are looking for a challenge, and believe God is calling you to work in Europe, YWAM Riga could be the place for you.
YWAM Riga is in the pioneer stage of development. We currently have 4 major areas of focus: Discipleship, Music, Visual Arts, and Disabled Persons ministry. We are looking to strengthen these focus areas with the addition of more staff.
YWAM Riga is a de-centralized urban missions center, which means we have no traditional YWAM base; we operate out of our own apartments and public places. This is a reflection of our incarnation approach to mission in Riga.
There are many exciting opportunities and possibilities in Riga due to the it being the capital of a small nation. Making an impact in Riga, impacts the nation as a whole.

- Ministry for People with Disabilities - Think Soviet Union.... then think of accessibility for people with disabilities. They don't go together. In fact, the nation of Latvia has done a very poor job meeting the needs of people with disabilities. We have a great opportunity to make a difference to those with disabilities and introduce them to Jesus. We are one of the only ministries in Latvia working in this area.
- Administrator - Our group is largely artists and musicians and we are in need of someone with a passion for administration. We are open to have our administrator bring their vision of how things can be organized.
- Sound Engineer - We work with a large percentage of the Christian musicians in Latvia and need a sound engineer / recording producer. This person would travel to all parts of Latvia with our bands (YWAM Riga + Riga Rocks ), to be able to insure that our concerts sound as good as they can. Music is the one of the most important cultural entities in Latvia. Our music ministry has a vital role to play in this nation and we are looking for someone with sound skills to maximize our presence.
- Translators + Interpreters - There are many languages represented among the YR staff. However, for speaking engagements, written government documents, and meetings with government offices, we need a person that is professional in approach and skilled in both Latvian and English to serve as a translator and interpreter.
- Artists (Visual/Applied and Art Therapists) - We have pioneered an arts ministry called IMPACT ART. This ministry is aimed at impacting artists, their art, and the arts community in Riga. Impact Art hosts a variety of art events open to the public. If you are a Christian artist and want to use your skills to impact the cities and nations ... you are very welcome here!
- EU Project Writer - In 2005, Latvia joined the EU. Since then, many of the large projects and business expansions in Latvia have been from EU money. We want to take advantage of this opportunity and turn those funds in society impacting projects.
- Photographer + Graphic Designer - We live in a very visual world. YWAM Riga is establishing itself through visual technology: our website, brochures, posters, and soon video. We are looking for some insanely creative photographers and graphic designers to build God's kingdom one visual at a time.
