YWAM Riga is an urban missions community in Latvia's capital city. YWAM Riga vision is: To be a Christ-like community who infuse Biblical principles that transform, disciple and mobilize people to permeate all spheres of society in Riga, Latvia and the nations. We are committed to: being a Christ-like community. living in various locations, in and around Riga , to influence our communities. infusing Biblical principals into all spheres of society through prayer, influence, and involvement. discipleship through relationship and teaching. mobilizing people to participate in building God's Kindgom in Riga, Latvia, and the nations. The city of Riga is a highly fluid and ever changing city. With Latvia's regained independence since the crumbling of the Soviet Union in 1991, and it's rebuilding and development as a nation, this is a significant juncture presently and for the future. Riga plays a key role in Latvia and as a regional centre, it is an extraordinary time to participate in seeing God's Kingdom more firmly established here in the city and witness transformation in the spheres of society. YWAM Riga was pioneered in 2002, with a focus primarily on training and the Russian speaking community. In 2007, after our leaders returned to their home country, YWAM Jurmala, focused on music, merged with YWAM Riga. New leadership came on board, and as our staff grew, our vision expanded and diversified. We welcome you to YWAM Riga.

If you are looking to get a taste of urban missions, want to see your life and the lives of those you meet impacted in new ways, and want to serve with your gifts and skills, YWAM Riga could be the place. Most people who are in full-time missions today are so, because they first went on a short-term trip. We want to facilitate that experience for those who desire to serve and in a missions environment.
